A vintage enamel advertising sign - bought for just £5 from a charity shop (thrift store) - goes under the auctioneer's hammer and makes a spectacular amount of money. Even James Lewis, of Derbyshire, UK, based auction house and valuers Bamfords is surprised how much it fetches. He also gets to speak to the owner of the sign who has generously agreed to donate some of the proceeds of the sale to the charity shop where he found the sign.
