This department incorporates work spanning from the 14th century through to the modern art; works from only a few only a few centimetres high to those that would grace the gardens of some of England's finest homes.
This section includes many examples of grand tour sculptures in bronze and marble, library busts in marble and plaster, and full-size stone garden statuary. Many of the small cabinet pieces such as Franz Bergman and other Austrian cold painted bronze are here. Oriental bronzes however are found in the oriental works of the art section.
Bamfords are also pleased to act for artists or relatives of deceased artists in order to market and sell studio collections or part collections as with the recent Ronald Pope studio collection. Auctions take place bi-monthly, however special one-off single artist auctions are organised where required.
