Sellers Commission Rates
Our vendor commission rates are 12.5% of the hammer price of each lot. We also charge 2.5% of the hammer price of each lot for insurance (subject to a minimum charge of £1). All our charges are subject to VAT.
There is a minimum commission whether the item is sold or unsold of £3 per lot (uncatalogued sales) and £7 per lot (catalogued sales).

Withdrawal Charges
The withdrawal fee for a lot which has been catalogued is 15% of the reserve price or the auctioneers upper estimate of the auction value, subject to a minimum charge of £25 plus VAT
Electrical Charges
Bamfords reserve the right to make a minimum charge of £3 per item to have the goods checked by an electrician for safety
Removal Charges
Bamfords can arrange full and part clearances at a cost of approximately £39 plus VAT for the first hour and £35 thereafter. All goods deemed unsuitable for sale will be disposed of, a charge is made for this service.
Payments
The net sale proceeds received from the buyer in cleared funds will be forwarded to the vendor no later than 28 working days after the auction (we endeavour to settle non-catalogued sales within 14 days after the auction) The net sale proceeds are the hammer price less commission and expenses. (Expenses – removals, photography, electrical testing and any other agreed charges)
