
Bamfords charge 15% plus VAT Buyers Premium on the hammer of each lot (e.g. Hammer Price £100 + Buyers Premium £15 + VAT on the Premium £2.62 Total Invoice £117.62)
Any lot purchased through the services of ATG Media Saleroom.com will be subject to a further charge of 3% of the hammer price (plus VAT where chargeable)
Registration
All buyers must register to bid and obtain a paddle number from reception.
To register you must provide proof of identity and residence
At the end of the sale please return the paddle number to reception
Commission Bids
If you can not attend the sale Bamfords will carry out your bids up to the price specified, these will be executed as cheaply as allowed by other commission or reserves that there maybe.
You may instruct a ‘Plus One Bid’ which might save you from losing the lot by one bid. In which case write +1
Commission Bidding Forms are available from reception, in the back of your catalogue or downloadable from the catalogue page.
If there are two commissions of the same value, preference is given to the bid, which is received first.
Telephone Bids
Telephone bids are accepted on lots that have a value of over £500, it is reasonable to expect that you would be prepared to bid for the lot over the top end of the auction estimate. All telephone bids must be confirmed in writing and be accepted at least 24 hours before the start of the auction. Bamfords Auctioneers and Valuers do not take any responsibility if they are unable to make contact with the bidder.
Internet Commissions
All commission bids must be received 24 hours prior to the start of the auction and to be accepted must have full identity, address and contact numbers.
Payments
Bamfords Auctioneers and Valuers accept Cash, Bank Transfers, Bankers Drafts, Debit Cards, Credit Cards and Business and Personal Cheques (Cheques must clear prior to the removal of goods)
Cheques to be made out to Bamfords Ltd
Bank Transfers must state the lot number and sale date
Credit Cards have a surcharge of 2%
We do not accept American Express
All lots must be paid for within 48 hours of the uncatalogued sales and within 7 days for catalogued sales. Late payments will occur interest at 2% above HSBC base rate
Condition Reports and Images
Condition reports and images are available on request, please be patient.
Removal of Goods
All lots shall be paid for and removed at the buyers expense 10 working days after the Catalogued Sale and 48 hours after uncatalogued sales. If the items have not been removed storage will be charged at £5 per day for large items and £1 per day for smaller items.
We are happy to arrange transportation for bulky items through our recommended carrier.
Bamfords Auctioneers and Valuers are neither packers or shippers, however should you require small items to be packed and delivered, we will try to accommodate your requirements, after payment for the lots, post and packaging. There is a minimum charge for this service of £10. (All items are sent Post Office Special and should note that not all items are covered by the Post Office Insurance)
