Fitzherbert, Sir Anthony, The Newe Boke of Juftices of the Peas by A.F.K. lately tranflated out of Frenche into Englyfe, probably Thomas Bethelet, London, 1538, woodcut title page and sub-title pages, profuse contemporary marginalia and notes throughout in English, French and classical Greek, contemporary leather binding, floral tooling to the boards, embossed owner's initials E.K. on the front and back boards, contents lose but in place, rubbing and chipping, spine partially exposed. Very rare.  Sir Anthony Fitzherbert (1470-1538) was an English judge, scholar and legal author born into a prominent Derbyshire family, the Fitzherberts of Norbury.
