A pair of good mid 18th century  flintlock full stock dueling  pistols, the 23cm flared steel barrels, lock plate, hammer and trigger  guard engraved and chased with leaves, scrolls and strapwork, detailed in gilt, the barrels with fore sight inscribed G. Massin, the shaped grip and stock carved with rococo scrolls and moulding and set with silvered coloured metal cartouche and mask butt cap and side plate, decorated with huntsman, wild boar and hounds, detachable ram rods with steel worm, 38cm long overall, c.1760 (see illustrations)
