Bamfords conduct valuations for pre-sale, probate, insurance, capital gains, family division and private treaty. The valuations can be carried out at our offices or in the client’s home or office.
Probate Valuations and Services
Bamfords offer an efficient, professional and confidential service to executors of deceased’s estates. On receiving instruction one or more of our experienced valuers will visit the property and carry out the valuation.
- Bamfords will provide, in duplicate, a bound inventory of certificate, usually within seven days of the initial visit.
- If required items of value can be removed immediately by our in house removers and stored for safety.
- Properties can be cleared including all items for auction, items of no value and any personal documentation can be handed back to the executors or destroyed where requested.
- Clothing and items of little value can be sorted and donated to one of the local charities.
- Any specific bequests can be identified, valued individually and dispersed.
- All saleable goods not bequested can be removed and placed into an appropriate sale
Insurance Valuations and Services
Bamfords can offer written and fully illustrated valuations for insurance on single or selected items, complete collections or full house contents.
- We will provide, in duplicate, a bound inventory of certificate, usually within seven days of the initial visit.
- Bamfords have a specialist team of experts in most areas of Antique and Collectables and can offer impartial advice.
- Keeping in touch with fluctuations in the market at home and internationally enables us to give accurate valuations, which would lead to speedy settlements in any insurance claim, and we retain an extensive library in which to research items.
- We can also provide re-valuations after an agreed interval so that items can be re-assessed.
Family Division Valuations and Services
Bamfords can offer an unbiased valuation service following divorce, separation or for dividing an estate.
- This valuation can include all household goods, collectables and antiques.
- We will endeavour to be sensitive and flexible to the needs of both sides while carrying out the valuation.
- A prompt service with the valuations, in duplicate, for both sides can be arranged to keep court deadlines if required.
